Premium Carpets & Flooring Professionally Fitted in Oxford

Yes — we offer free home visits across Oxford. A flooring specialist will visit your home with a wide range of premium carpet, vinyl, laminate, and engineered wood samples so you can see and feel every option in your own lighting. During the visit we also take precise measurements and provide a no-obligation quote, all at absolutely no cost to you.

Completely free — no hidden costs. Our professional measuring service is included as part of every free home visit. We accurately measure each room to ensure you order the exact amount of flooring you need, eliminating waste and guesswork. The measurement is carried out by an experienced fitter who can also advise on the best direction to lay your new flooring for the most appealing finish.

Most standard room carpet installations are completed in a single day. Our professional fitters work efficiently to minimise disruption to your home. Larger projects, such as carpeting multiple rooms or stairs and landing, may take two to three days. We provide a clear timeline during your free home visit so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.

Absolutely — that is one of the biggest advantages of our free home visit service. We bring a comprehensive range of carpet, vinyl, laminate, and engineered wood samples directly to your home. This means you can see, touch, and compare flooring options alongside your existing furniture, décor, and natural lighting. It is the most reliable way to choose flooring you will love for years to come.

We are based in Headington, Oxford, and our fitters cover homes and businesses throughout the city. If you are unsure whether we cover your postcode, simply enter it on our contact page or message us on +44 7476 012016 and we will confirm availability straight away.

Yes — Classic Carpet Fitting is a complete supply and fit service. We source premium carpets, luxury vinyl tiles, laminate flooring, engineered wood, underlay, and accessories from leading UK manufacturers, then professionally install everything ourselves. This means one point of contact from selection through to installation, with no coordination between separate suppliers and fitters. Every installation is carried out by our certified, fully insured fitting team.

For homes with pets, we typically recommend luxury vinyl flooring or laminate flooring — both are highly scratch-resistant, waterproof, and easy to clean. If you prefer carpet, our polypropylene twist piles are stain-resistant and bleach-cleanable, making them an excellent pet-friendly choice. During your free home visit, our flooring specialist can show you specific products suited to pet owners and discuss the best options for your lifestyle.
